If you need to enable the Carriage Return after scanning with the 4500, scan <DATA><SUFFIX 1> from page 6-5 of the Users Manual. Carriage Return is the default value for Suffix 1.

If you need to change what is sent in the suffix, first find the character you need on the tables on pages 3-12 through 3-21 and make note of the 4 digit Prefix/Suffix Value. E. g., 1009 for Horizontal Tab.

On page 6-4, scan Scan Suffix 1, then scan the 4 digits in Appendix A for the Prefix/Suffix Value. If you make a mistake, scan Cancel on A-3.
