Symptom
1. MobileAsset is set to allow a user to sign in using their domain account through Active Directory.
2. The "Create Employee" box is not checked.
3. However, when a user logs in with AD, an entry for that user is created in the Employee list anyway.
(Note: The Employee list is separate from the list of users maintained in Security, User Manager. A user is always created in User Manager when an AD user signs in for the first time.)
Cause
MobileAsset is looking at the wrong database value to determine whether to create an employee, and that value is always True.
Workaround
A request has been submitted to fix the problem. In the meantime, download and use these files to enable (on) and disable (off) this option.
Download, save, and extract these zip files on the server (the PC that holds the database):
Inside the extracted folder for the desired action, double-click the UpdateDB.bat file. The change takes effect immediately. Note: The zip file must be extracted first. If UpdateDB.bat is run from within the zip file, it will not work.
