in Version 7
If MobileAsset has been installed on the device, edit the device's service.config file:
a. Connect the device to the PC.
b. In Windows Mobile Device Center, File Management, Browse the contents of your device.
c. Navigate to:
\Program Files\MobileAsset
d. Find the file Service.Config (or Service) and copy it to the PC.
e. Edit the file in Notepad or other text editor, so that it refers to the new value (e.g. 169.254.2.2) in two lines, MAServiceUrl and IpSyncServiceUrl. Your file may have more lines than what are shown here.
