Mobile devices (default configuration) containing a cellular radio and 2 SIM card slots that can be used to access the cellular network:
DR6, DR5, DR4
Wasp does not support the cellular phone functionality, but customers are welcome to use it. The devices will work with SIM cards for GSM and HSPA+ technologies, which includes AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, Boost etc. They will NOT work with Verizon's network. Wasp has heard that in Wisconsin, AT&T is using a cellular band that is incompatible with the DR5, so customers may want to confirm what their local provider is using before purchasing a SIM.
There is not any procedure to enable the SIM card. After inserting the card and powering on the mobile device, it will just work (as long as the local network is compatible). If the card is not recognized and/or doesn't provide a cellular signal, this means the local network is not compatible with the Wasp device.
================================================================================
Other mobile devices sold by Wasp do not contain any radio for connecting a cellular phone network, so they are not capable of acting as a cell phone.
This is not affected by whether a device contains a SIM card slot (including models HC1, WDT60, WDT90, WDT950) or not (including model DR2).
