The Adjust feature (Main screen, Inventory, Adjust) allows you to change quantities of a few items quickly, without putting the system into Audit mode. The program Help file contains a full discussion of this feature.

By Counts:

This is an absolute change. The item is set to the specified quantity at the specifed location. No addition or subtraction is done here, regardless of the Reason (Found, Return, Breakage, or Lost). This is useful when you know the current total quantity for this item.

By Difference:

This is a relative change. The item's quantity changes by the amount specified.
For the Reasons of Positive, Found, and Return, the total increases.
For the Reasons of Negative, Breakage, or Lost, the total decreases.
This is useful when the current total is large or time-consuming to count, and you know only the number of changed items (for example, two monitors were damaged, or three assemblies were found in the wrong storage bin).

If the item has TrackBy information, the adjust will only adjust the quantity that falls under the TrackBy information that is filled in. For example, if Lot is filled in, and you do an adjust By Count, it will change the quantity of the item on the specified lot number without affecting other lot numbers.
