Symptom

After editing the serviceinfo.config file on a mobile device, InventoryControl RF gives error "Specified argument was out of the range of valid values" followed by other verbiage.

Cause

The serviceinfo.config file is not constructed properly. Requirements:
  • Sets of two lines of text (PC, then port number). There must be at least one set of two lines (but there can be more).
  • Following the text lines, there must be one Enter character. There cannot be any extra Enter characters.

The extra Enter character results in the error message above. (For clarity, the paragraph symbol indicates an Enter character.)

This file is properly formatted.
