In December 2017, a few units of a new scanner revision were inadvertently shipped with packaging and manual of the old revision. Some features of the new model cannot be programmed with the old manual and configuration barcodes.

Wasp is working on an updated manual for the new model revision.

Old: WLR8950 (bicolor red/green CCD illumination)
New: WLR8950SBR (white CMOS beam and red aiming laser)

In addition to the SBR in the model name, there is another line on the scanner's label "CLASS 1 LASER PRODUCT" that will help identify these units.
