Windows 11 will not connect to SQL 2005 on Windows Server 2003

in FAQs

Microsoft has changed the default TLS Cipher Suites in Windows 11, with the result that Windows 11 cannot communicate with SQL 2005 running on Windows Server 2003. This will affect legacy installation of Wasp products using SQL 2005, such as WaspTime.

The following Microsoft Q&A post discusses a possible solution (updating the SSL Cipher Suite) in the Accepted Answer section. This procedure is outside the scope of Wasp Tech Support.

Note that Wasp has released the PreciseTime cloud-based product that replaces the older WaspTime product. PreciseTime is not affected by the cipher suites issue mentioned above.
