QuickStore: Can I use a wireless network to connect my additional lanes with the main Quickstore database?

We very strongly recommend against using a wireless network to connect the lanes to the Quick Store database machine.

Due to the way the database files are updated, if there is too much latency, or if the connection drops briefly, it may cause the client to update one file, but not update the other files needed for a particular operation. This leads to corruption, because the one file will have pointers to records in other files that don't exist.

While web browsing is designed around this sort of periodic dips in performance and will continue downloading whatever information you are viewing afterwards, being able to edit the database depends on a reliable and stable connection, which a wireless connection is not able to provide.
