The WLR2900, WCS3900 and WLR8900 series scanners have minimum and maximum length scanning enabled by default.  It may be necessary to modify the minimum length to read Code 128 barcodes with fewer than 5 characters.

Models WLR2900 & WCS3900

To scan shorter Code 128 barcodes:

1. On page 18, scan the Minimum Length barcode (Code 128).

2. On page 33, scan the 0 barcode then the 1 barcode.

3. On page 18, scan the Minimum Length barcode again.

Model WLR8900

To scan shorter Code 128 barcodes:

1. On page 16, scan the Minimum Length barcode (Code 128).

2. On page 26, scan the 0 barcode then the 1 barcode.

3. On page 16, scan the Minimum Length barcode again.
