If you receive an error during the SQL database portion of the installation that reads "The sa password must meet SQL Server password policy requirements. For strong password guidelines, see Authentication Mode, in SQL Server Books Online" you will need to do part of the installation manually.
First, browse the installation CD and look in the SQLExpress2005 folder. Run the file "Wasp Manual Install.bat". It will prompt you for an sa password. Enter a password that meets the requirements in place on your machine, then allow it to proceed with the instance creation.
Once the instance has been created, if you are installing the Professional edition of Mobile Asset or InventoryControl, or any edition of WaspTime, you will need to rerun the regular installation.
If you are installing the Standard version of Mobile Asset or InventoryControl, you will need to contact Wasp Support at 214-547-4100, option 2 for a copy of the DBInstaller to be run prior to the software installation.
If you are installing from a download rather than a CD, the EXE file is a self-extracting zip file. You can use WinZip to extract it and find the same folder mentioned above.
