in Scanners

Issue: The WWS750 has beeps for various alerts. To silence the scanner, it will require disabling multiple beeps.

For this procedure, you will require the Programming Reference Guide (PRG) for the WWS750, which can be found here:
https://support.waspbarcode.com/kb/articles/1422

WWS750 -How To Quiet the Buzzer

1. Enter Programming Mode

Page 68: Scan Enter/Exit Programming Mode

2. Disable the sound of various beeps

Depending upon exactly which beeps you would like to disable, scan the following:

Page 68: Power On Alert = Disable
Page 71: Good Read Beep Volume = Beeper Off
Page 210: Good Transmission Beep = Disable
Page 212: Disconnect Beep = Disable
Page 213: Docking Beep = Disable

3. Exit Programming Mode

Scan Enter/Exit Programming Mode again.

With all of these options programmed, it will still produce a set of beeps when it initially establishes the connection with the base after powering on, and a set of beeps when powering down. You can change the Powerdown Timeout setting on page 229 of the PRG, but be aware that if the scanner remains powered on at all times, it will reduce the battery life.
