This is a known issue and will be addressed in a future patch.
The standard workaround sets the Windows display settings to "Smaller - 100%" or "Normal size (96 DPI)".
The advanced workaround allows up to 117% magnification.
Standard Workaround for Windows 11:
Note: Windows will require you to log off and back on for the settings to take effect.
- Right click the desktop and choose "Display Settings"
- Scroll down and choose "Turn off custom scaling and log off"
- After logging back on, WaspTime will not crash when viewing timecards.
Standard Workaround for Windows 8, 7, Vista:
Note: Windows will require you to log off and back on for the settings to take effect.
- Start menu, Control Panel, Display.
- If you only see 8 categories in Control Panel instead of many icons:
- Click "Appearance and Personalization".
- Under Display, click "Make text and other items larger or smaller".
- Change the setting to Smaller - 100% (default), then click Apply.
- Click Log off now.
- After logging back on, WaspTime will not crash when viewing timecards.
Standard Workaround for Windows XP:
Note: Windows will require restarting the PC for the settings to take effect.
- Start, Settings, Control Panel
- Display, Settings tab, Advanced Button.
- In the DPI setting popdown, click the setting for Normal size (96 DPI).
- OK, OK, OK, Yes (skip file copying), Close, Yes (restart computer).
- After logging back on, WaspTime will not crash when viewing timecards.
Advanced Workaround for Windows 8, 7, Vista:
Note: Windows will require you to log off and back on for the settings to take effect.
- Start menu, Control Panel, Display.
- If you only see 8 categories in Control Panel instead of many icons:
- Click "Appearance and Personalization".
- Under Display, click "Make text and other items larger or smaller".
- At the left, click "Set custom text size (DPI).
- Double-click to select the current percentage.
- Type 117
- Click OK.
- Click Apply.
- Click Log off now.
- After logging back on, WaspTime will not crash when viewing timecards.
Advanced Workaround for Windows XP:
Note: Windows will require restarting the PC for the settings to take effect.
- Open Notepad or anything with a text field.
- Type 117, select the number, right-click it, Copy.
- Start, Settings, Control Panel
- Display, Settings tab, Advanced Button.
- Pop down the DPI setting control to Custom Setting.
- Right-click the percentage value, Paste.
- OK, OK, OK, Yes (skip file copying), Close, Yes (restart computer).
- After logging back on, WaspTime will not crash when viewing timecards.
