Operation: I'm trying to connect my keyboard wedge scanner to a laptop that does not have PS/2 connectors - it only has USB. I bought a generic PS/2 to USB adapter that does not work. How can I connect the scanner?

If you bought just a standard PS/2 to USB converter, it will not work correctly.  You need a keyboard to USB converter that has no mouse capability.  Our Wasp USBi will solve your problem.  You can order it at:
