Setting up any mobile device with the Inventory or AssetCloud mobile app must be downloaded from the Google PlayStore.
The Google Playstore requires a Gmail account to be created for downloading apps, if you do not already have a Gmail account.
The below information goes into greater detail on how to setup the required Gmail account in order to download mobile apps.
Navigate to Settings: Open your device's Settings app, scroll down, and tap Accounts (or Users & Accounts depending on your device).
Add a Google Account: Tap Add Account, select Google, enter email and then tap Create account at the bottom of the sign-in screen.
Select Account Type: Choose For my personal use from the dropdown menu.
Enter Personal Info: Type in your first and last name, followed by your date of birth and gender on the next screen.
Pick a Username: Select a suggested email handle or choose Create your own Gmail address to type a custom username.
Secure Your Account: Create a strong password containing a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Add Recovery Details: Provide a mobile phone number or a secondary email address. This is highly recommended so you do not get locked out of your device if you forget your password.
Accept the Terms: Review your account information, tap Next, scroll down, and click I Agree to finalize the creation process. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Launch the Play Store: Open the Google Play Store app on your home screen or app drawer.
Switch Accounts: Tap your Profile picture or initial in the top right corner.
Select the New Gmail: If the new account isn't already active, tap the down arrow next to your current account name and choose your newly created Gmail address. [1, 2]
Search: Tap the search bar at the top of the Google Play Store homepage and type the name of the app you want to download.
Install: Select the app from the search results and tap the green Install button.
Access: Once the download completes, the app icon will appear on your home screen, ready for use.
