Cloud On-Premise: At initial install, if OP installer is cancelled before a SQL Compact installer completes: "Error attempting to validate previous installed features."

This was observed on the OP_V2.00.00_2022.01.05.001 build of the On-Premise software.

Symptom

Near the beginning of the installation process, if the OP Installer is cancelled before the SQL Server Compact Edition x86 or x64 component installers complete, then the OP Installer is run again, it gives an error:

Error attempting to validate previous installed features.

Resolution

Note: This resolution assumes this has occurred near the beginning of the installation, and there is not any existing data or configuration to be affected.

Delete the OP registry key:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wasp Barcode Technologies\Cloud

Then run the OP installer again.
