The 3rd-party report module that generates AssetCloud barcodes trims the bottom of the barcode caption a bit.

 

If this situation impacts readability of your captions, as a workaround, AssetCloud Complete Edition customers can turn off the barcode caption, then add a new field with the barcode data, which does not get trimmed.

 

At the left, click to expand Reports, then All Reports directly below.

 

A bit to the right, click to expand Labels, then Asset Tag Label directly below.

 

Almost all the way to the right, click the Design Report button. A new tab should open, to the report designer.

 

Add a new object to the layout: At the top menubar, click Insert, then Text in the toolbar, then drag a rectangle where you want the field.

 

Copy the following text, then paste into the Text field that appeared in the previous step, then OK.

Adjust the Text attributes as desired, such as Horizontal Alignment: Center, Font and Size, etc.

 

In the label layout, click once to select the barcode.

 

At the left, click "Bar Code Additional" (if necessary) to expand its attributes.

 

Uncheck "Show Label Text".

 

You may want to adjust the height of the barcode in the Position section.

 

At the upper left, click the File menu, then Save.

 

Keep the Report Designer tab open for now.

 

Verify the layout: In the View Assets list, select an asset, then click the Tag button in the toolbar, Print, Print to PDF. If anything needs to be adjusted, close that browser tab and go back to the Report Designer tab. Repeat until satisfactory.

 

Close the Report Designer tab.
