As of June 10, 2022, Microsoft SQL Server will not run on Windows 11 from a NVMe SSD, whether a fresh Windows 11 installation, or a previously-working Windows 10 installation that has been upgraded to Windows 11. This is due to an incompatibility between the NVMe driver and Microsoft SQL Server.

What this means for Wasp software: The On-Premise (OP) editions of AssetCloud and InventoryCloud are not compatible with Windows 11 running on a NVMe SSD, when using the default OP installation of SQL Server Express on the Windows 11 PC.

Note 1: The following configuration DOES work and IS compatible:
1. Purchase and use a Complete OP software license, and do the custom installation option.
2. Choose to install the OP databases on a different, non-affected PC (using the included SQL Server Express or other full SQL Server installation)
3. Run some or all of the other OP components on the Windows 11 PC with NVMe SSD.

Note 2: This incompatibility does not affect Windows 11 PCs using the SATA interface for a hard disk drive (HDD) or solid-state disk (SSD).
