3900/8900 with PS2 connection does not allow the keyboard to work in Windows 2000

Beginning with the current firmware version, MTO-e-1.14-IN, the WCS3900 and WLR8900 scanners no longer fully support Windows 98/2000. If you have a ps2 connection, the keyboard will not operate through the scanner's wedge cable.
