Before running reports, the Report Parameters display the different filters that have been designed into the report.
If you have an Enterprise license for AssetCloud (or are using a Demo license), it includes the ability to customize reports using the Design Report button. If you wish to add an additional filter, that can be done in Design:
- You may wish to first go to File > Save As so you can create a test report to apply your changes until you're sure the changes work as desired. However, if you change one of the default reports and wish to revert those changes, you can also click Reset Report to revert it back to the original design.
- In the Dictionary column on the left, right-click Variables and select New Variable. Enter a Name and Alias for the filter. For Init by: select Expression, then check the Request from User box. For Data Source, select Data Columns. For Keys and Values, click the ... to open the Data Column list and select the column you wish to filter by.
- Save the report. If you had a Report View tab open for the report, close the tab, then Run the report. At the top of the report view will be a bar with the variable's alias and a drop-down box. Select the value to filter by and click Submit.
